All surgical procedures are performed painlessly under local anaesthesia. After the procedure, you will recover in our modern recovery room, where we will continue to monitor your safety and well-being.

Referral information

Dear colleagues, we appreciate your trust and cooperation. You can be sure that we will treat your patients responsibly and in your best interests. For more extensive procedures, we will coordinate closely with you to ensure that the treatment runs smoothly.

We will, of course, keep you informed about the course of treatment and return the patients to your expert care once the therapy is complete.

We look forward to working together in partnership – for the benefit of our shared patients.

Services

We are happy to perform the surgical procedures you require – even in stages. With our Morita Veraview X800 DVT device (voxel size 80 µm), we create precise images for the reliable planning of implantological, periodontal and endodontic therapies. If your X-ray findings are unclear, we are happy to support you with a second opinion. In deciduous teeth, we perform compomer fillings (SÄT) for carious lesions without pulp exposure. We accompany patients with benign and malignant tumours and coordinate outpatient and inpatient care, including follow-up care.

Technology and methods

Our practice works with digital X-ray technology from Dürr and Morita – we will of course provide you with the images taken. For precise diagnostics, we rely on the Veraview X800 DVT device from Morita. This allows us to plan implantology, periodontology and endodontology procedures in high resolution (voxel size 80 µm). Thanks to open-system 3D planning software, we can create customised surgical templates using existing DICOM and STL data – without the need for new DVT images. Through our cooperation with the Stobenstraße X-ray practice in the same building, we have direct access to advanced imaging such as CT, MRI, ultrasound or scintigraphy – quickly and easily. For bone- e augmentation procedures such as block augmentation or sinus lift, we use the Piezosurgery® system from Mectron, which is extremely gentle on soft tissue such as nerves and mucous membranes. In root tip resections, retrograde preparation of the canals is also carried out gently with special Piezosurgery® attachments. Implant system: We prefer to work with AstraTech EV – however, we can also integrate other systems on request after consultation.

Technology and methods

Equipment and collaborations

For precise diagnostics and safe treatments, we rely on state-of-the-art technology – from digital X-rays and high-resolution 3D DVT to computer-assisted surgical planning. Our fully digitalised practice is state-of-the-art and provides the basis for efficient, gentle and individually tailored treatment.

Thanks to strong collaborations, including with an X-ray practice located directly in the building, we offer access to advanced imaging such as CT, MRI or ultrasound – fast, reliable and all under one roof.

Administration
Organisational processes and examinations can be carried out more quickly and securely in our paperless practice with digital X-ray, digital photography, digital file management and networking, leaving us more time for treating and advising our patients.
3D planning software
Our open-system 3D planning software enables us to carry out implant planning with any Dicom data set and, if necessary, to subsequently create a navigation template using 3D printing (without the need for another CT scan with an X-ray template).
Low-radiation X-ray
We use a digital X-ray system that reduces radiation exposure to a minimum compared to conventional technology, while still providing excellent image quality.
Piezosurgery
We work with a piezosurgery device from Mectron. Instead of a conventional drill, this device uses ultrasonic vibrations to perform surgery. This allows for particularly gentle treatment of bone tissue, ensuring that sensitive soft tissue structures such as nerves and mucous membranes are protected.
QEP® certification
Our practice has a well-established and Dekra-certified quality management system. QEP – Quality and Development in Practices® is the quality management system of the National Association of Statutory Health Insurance Physicians (KBV) and takes particular account of patient needs. This makes our processes safer and leaves more time for patient treatment.
DVT – Digital volume tomography
Our practice has a DVT from Morita. With the Veraview X800 DVT, we can take three-dimensional images of the upper and lower jaw, individual jaw sections, the jaw joints and the maxillary sinuses. With the help of our planning software, we can, for example, accurately assess implant sites or evaluate the positional relationship of a wisdom tooth or cyst to important neighbouring anatomical structures such as nerves or the maxillary sinus. Compared to conventional CT examinations, the radiation exposure with DVT is significantly lower.
L-PRF- platelet rich fibrin
Concentrate from the patient's own blood to support wound healing: We have been using platelet-rich fibrin (PRF) for many years to accelerate and improve healing processes, e.g. after tooth extractions and in the context of bone augmentation. L-PRF is a 3D fibrin matrix obtained from a concentrate of the patient's own blood and serves as a source of regeneration for the healing processes. To produce the blood concentrate, a small amount of blood is taken from the patient immediately before the procedure. The blood is then centrifuged according to a special protocol without the addition of chemicals. PRF not only accelerates wound healing, but also significantly reduces wound pain. This natural healing method is also used successfully in various aesthetic treatments and in skin surgery.
Intraoral scanner
Our practice has a modern intraoral scanner that we can use to create digital models of your jaw. This allows us to produce drilling templates without taking impressions, for example. This is not only more precise, but also much more comfortable, especially for patients who suffer from a gag reflex.
Anaesthesia
For more extensive procedures, when treating children, disabled patients or adults with treatment anxiety, we have the option of performing treatments under general anaesthesia on our practice premises. We have been working with the anaesthesiologists at the Hildesheim outpatient surgery centre for many years.
Radiology and radiotherapy
Thanks to our close cooperation with the Neuradia X-ray practice in our building, we have easy and prompt access to the entire range of modern imaging techniques. Depending on the clinical issue, three-dimensional techniques such as computed tomography (CT) and magnetic resonance imaging (MRI) are particularly useful. Ultrasound diagnostics and scintigraphy can also be performed there.

(Wisdom) tooth removal with PRF – gentle healing using your own blood

When removing teeth/wisdom teeth, in addition to professional extraction, the most important thing is rapid and gentle healing of the wound. A modern, proven, nature-based method is PRF – platelet-rich fibrin. A fibrous, coagulation-promoting matrix is obtained from the patient’s own blood, which supports the healing process, reduces inflammation and alleviates pain.

What is PRF?

  • PRF is a biological material obtained from a small blood sample taken from the patient.
  • The blood is centrifuged, concentrating plasma, thrombocytes (blood platelets) and leukocytes.
  • This produces a dense, fibrin-rich membrane that is inserted directly into the wound.
  • As everything comes from the patient’s own body, it is a very well-tolerated method without any foreign substances.

How does PRF work in tooth/wisdom tooth removal?

  • After tooth extraction, PRF is inserted into the wound in solid or liquid form.
  • The PRF matrix supports blood clotting, promotes tissue healing and protects the depth of the wound.
  • The release of growth factors stimulates the regeneration of bone and soft tissue.
  • The treatment is virtually painless and is compatible with standard aftercare.

Advantages of PRF in tooth/wisdom tooth extraction

  • Faster healing: Accelerated tissue and bone regeneration.
  • Less swelling and pain: Reduced post-operative discomfort due to faster healing.
  • Improved bone healing: Promotes bone density stability around the extraction site.
  • Greater tissue stability: Strengthens the soft tissue bed for better wound care.
  • Lower risk of infection: Natural growth factors support the wound’s immune system.
  • Biocompatible and safe: no foreign substances, only the body’s own material.

What you should bear in mind

  • Preparation: If you are taking blood-thinning medication, please inform your practice in advance.
  • Aftercare: Keep your regular follow-up appointments and follow the instructions for oral hygiene and wound care.
  • Information: We will be happy to explain to you individually whether PRF is suitable for your situation.

PRF offers natural, side-effect-free support for healing after tooth/wisdom tooth removal. The use of the body’s own growth factors can make the healing process more efficient: discomfort can be reduced and the healing process becomes more comfortable.

Implantology

Dental implants can be used to replace lost teeth with almost lifelike replacements. In some cases, implants are the only way to integrate fixed dentures, while in others they can significantly improve the stability of removable prostheses. The surgical procedure is safe and has proven itself over decades. The planning of implant-supported dentures is carried out in close consultation with the treating dentist. A prerequisite for the insertion of dental implants is sufficient bone availability. We assess the individual situation on the basis of clinical and radiological diagnostics. This allows us to estimate the surgical (and financial) costs of the treatment very accurately. Today, various procedures are used for bone augmentation, which allow even difficult situations to be resolved without the need for complex and often stressful bone harvesting from the pelvis. When using the patient’s own bone from the jaw ridge, the bone grafts are harvested with our Piezosurgery® device, without drilling and while preserving the soft tissue structures. The implant bed can also be prepared with the Piezosurgery® device. Difficult situations (e.g. very narrow jaw ridges, many missing teeth) can now be analysed very well using three-dimensional imaging techniques. The data obtained is not only used to analyse the situation prior to implantation, but can also be converted into a surgical template if required. This allows the virtual planning to be implemented very reliably during the operation (navigated). As a special feature, our planning software does not require an X-ray template, so there is no need for a new DVT or CT scan. If you have any questions about dental implants, we would be happy to arrange a non-binding consultation appointment with you.

Periodontal surgery

Periodontitis therapy

Periodontitis is a bacterial infection of the periodontium, the tissue that connects the teeth to the bone. The bacterial inflammation leads to long-term degradation of the jawbone and can progress to tooth loss. The aim of the treatment is to first eliminate the inflammation in order to stop the disease and preserve the affected teeth. In addition, modern treatment methods can often even achieve regeneration of the lost tissue.

Aesthetic periodontal surgery

Various causes can lead to aesthetically impairing gum recession. These so-called recessions can be covered surgically. In addition to small local flap plasty, mucosal or connective tissue grafts can also be considered.

Treatment of dental, oral and jaw disorders

Oral and maxillofacial surgery, as an interface between human medicine and dentistry, encompasses the diagnosis, prevention and treatment of diseases, injuries, fractures and malformations of the teeth, oral cavity, jaws and face. This includes, among other things:

Skin surgery

Removal of malignant tumours

Malignant skin tumours most commonly involve what is known as „white skin cancer“ (basal cell carcinoma, squamous cell carcinoma, Bowen’s disease or carcinoma in situ).

After diagnosis, we perform the removal of malignant skin tumours in our practice. After removal, the tumours are examined and classified by a pathologist and the specimen is checked to ensure complete removal. While smaller defects can often be sutured directly with minimal scarring, larger defects or those in specific locations, such as the nose, ears or eyelids, require special reconstruction (see Plastic and Reconstructive Surgery).

If the rarer form of skin cancer, melanoma, is suspected, a diagnostic confirmation (complete removal of the suspicious lesion) is performed. If the diagnosis is confirmed, further treatment (staging) is usually carried out in an inpatient setting.

Removal of benign tumours
Benign tumours (e.g. fibromas, lipomas, moles, irritative naevi, warts) in the facial area can also lead to functional and/or aesthetic impairments, making removal necessary or desirable. We take care to minimise scarring as much as possible by selecting the incision and using atraumatic suture material. We also offer modern procedures to support wound healing (e.g. use of PRF). For larger tumours/defects, a two-stage procedure may sometimes be advantageous, or plastic-reconstructive measures may be necessary. (see plastic-reconstructive surgery)

Plastic and reconstructive surgery

As part of reconstructive surgery, we perform reconstructions of skin defects after tumour removal or trauma (scar corrections). This usually involves the use of local flap plasty (defect reconstruction by relocating skin from the area surrounding the defect). For larger defects, we also perform skin, connective tissue or fat transplants. The aim of reconstructive surgery is always to achieve a good functional and aesthetic result. In most cases, even larger skin defects can be covered in an aesthetically pleasing manner under local anaesthetic, or defects of the nose and ear can be repaired.

Plastic and aesthetic surgery
As part of aesthetic surgery, we perform wrinkle treatments on the face. In addition to purely surgical procedures (e.g. eyelid surgery), amazing results can often be achieved with minor measures (botulinum toxin, fillers, hyaluronic acid). This also includes hyperhidrosis therapy (treatment of excessive sweating). The therapeutic options are very diverse. We would be happy to arrange a non-binding consultation appointment with you to find out which treatment is right for you.
